The role of the District Nursing Team is to provide professional nursing to patients who are permanently or temporarily housebound through a chronic or terminal illness, or nursing problems. We work in collaboration and partnership with other agencies and healing professionals to provide an effective package of care for patients and carers in order to promote maximum independence and quality of life.

Based at Brixham Hospital, they have daily contact with the surgery.

The Christie Team provide 24 hour care for our expectant mothers, and a midwife is available at the Surgery on Wednesday afternoons.

Carer's Support Worker:

Erica, is available on Wednesday afternoons, to give help & support to any of our patients who care for a relative or friend.

Counsellor:

The Primary Mental Health Care team, arrange Counselling consultations at the Surgery.

Health Visitor:

The health visitor, Marion, is based at Brixham Clinic, which is almost opposite the surgery.

Community School Nurse:

Alison Taylor is the Community School Nurse and is based at Brixham Clinic.

Community Nursery Nurse:

Alison Bird is the Community Nursery Nurse and is based at Brixham Clinic.
